Wind power and Agriculture: Do they go together? Our Managing Director Johann Janker shows that the two can be a perfect match. In the next issue of the windenergie magazine from IG Windkraft, he talks about his career: from a family farm to innovative energy projects.
It all began on his farm: in addition to raising chickens and trading in egg cartons, he added his first wind turbine in 1995 – a decision that not only made his farm more sustainable but also inspired many other farmers. Today, the farm generates almost all of its energy using wind power, photovoltaics and biomass.
During a tour of the office and company, Alexander Kohl, editor of windenergie, was able to see for himself how agriculture and renewable energies go hand in hand here. Particularly exciting: how wind power projects are implemented in the mountains and why the energy transition can only work together with the local people.
There will be more on this in the next issue of windenergie – be sure to take a look!
